Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri seeks an experienced hospice nurse to provide in-home and facility-based end-of-life care. You will assess symptoms, administer meds, educate patients and caregivers, and support pain control to improve comfort.

Coordinate with the hospice IDG team to communicate changes in health, restore independence, and guide families through care decisions. Missouri RN license required; compassionate, autonomous professionals welcome.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri.
• Experience in hospice or home health preferred.
• Ability to educate patients and families about care and medications.

Responsibilities

• Assess symptoms of diseases and responses to treatment.
• Teach patients and caregivers how to provide their own care and comfort at end of life.
• Administer IV and injectable meds, perform prescribed treatments.
• Assist with pain control.
• Provide wound management and ostomy care.
• Restore independence and communicate changes to physician and hospice IDG team.
