Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in Missouri is seeking a home care registered nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate hospice care in patients' homes. You will assess comfort, manage symptoms, and build meaningful connections with patients and families.

You will collaborate weekly with an interdisciplinary team, adhere to regulatory standards, and promote dignity at end of life. A valid RN license in Missouri and at least two years in hospice or home health are required.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• A minimum of two years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health in the last five years.
• Equivalent experience or licensure may be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide end-of-life hospice care to patients in their homes, focusing on comfort and dignity.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support families.
• Document patient care and maintain communication with the care team and supervisors.
• Educate patients and families about hospice services and expectations
