Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct personal care during patient visits in homes across the service area. You’ll work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, covering infants to elders while following the individual plan of care.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and clear documentation, with opportunities to participate in ongoing in-service education and performance improvements. Valid Georgia CNA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
• CNA license is acceptable as minimum educational requirement.
• One year nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (bathing, nail care, mouth care) per plan of care.
• Assist with ADLs and self-care; keep environment neat.
• Ensure patient safety and report concerns to RN/Manager.
• Perform light housekeeping per hospice plan of care.
• Document care within 24 hours with 95% accuracy.
• Drive to designated service area following safety rules.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
