Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect resident care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist adults and the elderly with daily living activities, maintain a safe environment, and support in mobility and routine tasks per the care plan.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety and patient safety goals, and effective communication with patients and staff. This position is full-time and based on-site in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant licensure.
• One year of nursing assistant-related experience (preferred).
• Basic nursing assistant skills.
• Basic mathematical abilities.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Demonstrates therapeutic communication and explains procedures to patients.

Responsibilities

• Makes care rounds and reports pertinent information to the RN or supervisor.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment for residents.
• Assists with mobility, positioning and comfort as per plan of care.
• Performs basic tasks such as bathing, grooming and feeding support.
• Documents and communicates changes in patient status to the team.
• Supports in light housekeeping and equipment storage as needed.
