Job summary

Hospice of Wilson, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Chaplain/Spiritual Caregiver to provide in-home spiritual care to hospice patients and their families. The role requires 2+ units of CPE or a theology-related bachelor's degree, and endorsement by a recognized faith group. Travel within a 50-mile radius is required, with occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ units of Clinical Pastoral Education or Bachelor's degree in theology, divinity, pastoral care, philosophy, religion or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a health care setting and/or related pastoral experience.
• Endorsement by a Faith group recognized by the Armed Forces Chaplains Board.
• Good standing with their spiritual/faith group with no ethical charges.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to hospice patients and families.
• Demonstrate proficiency in serving people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
• Share spiritual resources and network with local religious leaders as needed.
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team and contribute spiritual insights in IDG meetings.
• Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospice staff when requested.
