Job summary

Avanta Care Home Health in Strong, ME is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to support clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring comfort. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work independently and with healthcare professionals.

We welcome applicants with CPR certification and prior home health experience; training is provided as needed, and duties include ADLs, meals, and cognitive support.

Qualifications

• Experience in home health care or related field preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions.
• Ability to perform meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
• CPR certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare meals and ensure dietary needs are met.
• Monitor health status and report concerns to healthcare providers.
• Provide companionship to support mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain client living environments with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments.
• Administer CPR if necessary and assist with catheter care as required by the health plan.
