Job summary

Avanta Care Home Health is looking for dedicated Home Health Aides to support individuals in their homes in Saco, ME. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, and providing companionship while ensuring client safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate has prior home health care experience, strong communication skills, and is reliable and compassionate. A flexible schedule is provided with the opportunity to work closely with clients to improve their daily lives.

Qualifications

• Previous home health care experience preferred.
• Ability to perform meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning duties.
• Knowledge of hospice care principles is a plus.
• CPR certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
• Perform patient observation to monitor health status changes.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness in the client’s living environment.
• Provide memory care support for cognitive impairments.
• Administer CPR and assist with catheter care as required.
