Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking a Service Technician/DOT Delivery Driver to deliver, install, and repair furniture in customers' homes, while maintaining safety, timeliness, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities include operating the delivery vehicle, documenting transactions, handling loading/unloading, and performing on-site repairs with wood, leather and upholstery. Valid DL with clean record and ability to lift 150+ lbs required.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• DOT certification (company paid).
• Pass background requirements.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to push, pull, and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds.
• 1+ year delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up and repair furniture in customers' homes.
• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously.
• Communicate and document delivery transactions.
• Unload/load products at stores or warehouse as needed.
• Inspect and repair furniture including wood, leather and upholstery.
• Represent Havertys Furniture professionally during visits.
