Job summary

Addus Home Care is seeking a Family Service Specialist to assist families in crisis through DCFS programs, providing services to help meet court-ordered participation and support sessions. The role includes in-home work, transportation for visits, and preparing detailed reports.

A flexible schedule and daily pay option are available, with mileage reimbursement as part of the benefits. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and the possibility of an associate degree or 2 years of

Qualifications

• Experience in social work, child care, or working with families is preferred.
• Must pass required background checks.
• Must have a dependable automobile, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support families to prevent the permanent placement of children out of their home.
• Provide transportation for parent and/or children to and from locations for supervised visitation.
• Work directly with families in the home, teaching homemaking, parenting, and anger management skills.
• Supervised and/or unsupervised visitation; observe interactions and redirect as needed.
• Prepare written reports and maintain accurate records; submit monthly progress reports.
