Job summary

Youth Villages seeks a Family Intervention Specialist for the Intercept program. This in-home, strength-based role focuses on keeping families together and preventing out-of-home placements. It serves birth to 18-year-olds with emotional or behavioral challenges and trauma.

The position emphasizes collaboration with families, providers, and courts, with flexible scheduling, travel, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is required.
• Experience with at-risk youth and families is preferred.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of 4 to 6 families.
• Hold individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of youth using a strength-based approach.
• Attend 3 weekly meetings for professional development and booster trainings.
• Drive up to 60–80 miles to meet families in homes and communities.
• Collaborate with providers, case workers, and courts to plan treatment.
• Provide on-call crisis support to youth and family.
• Document accurately in EMR.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
