Job summary

MAOF seeks a Home Visitor to support families enrolled in the Head Start Home-Based program in San Bernardino County. You will visit families, support child development, and coach parents in developmentally appropriate practices.

The role requires a bilingual English/Spanish candidate with a relevant degree and state permits, plus experience with preschool children. Regular visits, documentation, and collaboration with program staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field.
• Minimum of 24 semester units in child development or early childhood education.
• Valid California Children's Center Permit or California Child Development Teacher Permit.
• Minimum of two years of paid experience working with preschool-age children.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Strong communication, organizational, time-management and recordkeeping skills.
• Must possess a valid California driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Must complete and maintain required background checks and health clearances.

Responsibilities

• Environmental and safety: implement safety procedures and supervise children during activities.
• Developmental and educational services: maintain up to 12-family caseload and conduct weekly visits.
• Administrative responsibilities: submit reports and maintain confidential records.
• Supervision and working relationships: report to the Child Development Supervisor and collaborate with staff.
