Job summary

Watertown Public Schools seeks a part-time PC+ Home Visitor to work in family homes weekly, supporting child growth and parent-child interactions. The role requires 0.4 FTE with approximately 10–18 hours per week, located in Watertown, MA.

Training and supervision are integral, with strong emphasis on confidentiality and documentation. Responsibilities include high-quality visits, completing reports, and participating in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience with diverse families and knowledge of their needs.
• Fluent in English and another community language (listed).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of the Watertown community and local resources.

Responsibilities

• Visits families in their homes twice weekly, modeling reading, play, and verbal interaction with young children and parents.
• Completes required paperwork weekly, including visit reports and child development assessments.
• Attends weekly supervisory and training meetings (minimum two hours).
• Ensures confidentiality of family information, except as required by law.
• Complies with all required training prior to starting home visits.
