Job summary

Gentle Pet Crossing seeks a compassionate veterinarian to provide in-home euthanasia services across the Treasure Coast to Miami. The role involves travel to clients’ homes, performing empathetic euthanasia, and supporting families through end-of-life care.

The ideal candidate is emotionally intelligent, able to work independently, and skilled in clear communication. Prior palliative or hospice experience is preferred. Flexible scheduling and ongoing mentorship are offered.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent with Florida veterinary license.
• Professional liability coverage.
• Excellent bedside manner and emotional intelligence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Comfort working independently in clients’ homes.
• Experience in palliative care, hospice, or euthanasia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to clients’ homes to provide end-of-life veterinary care.
• Offer gentle euthanasia procedures with empathy, sensitivity and respect.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to pet families.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication with support staff.
• Guide families through a deeply emotional process with grace and reassurance.
• Communicate clearly and kindly before, during, and after the appointment.
• Represent our values with integrity in every interaction.
