Job summary

Gentle Pet Crossing seeks a kind, emotionally intelligent veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home euthanasia across Florida, from the Treasure Coast to Miami. The ideal candidate works independently, communicates with empathy, and finds fulfillment in supporting families through end-of-life care.

You will travel to clients’ homes to perform gentle euthanasia, document visits, and coordinate with support staff.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent and current veterinary license in Florida.
• Professional liability coverage.
• Excellent bedside manner and emotional intelligence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Comfort working independently in clients’ homes.
• Experience in palliative care, hospice, or euthanasia preferred (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Travel to clients’ homes to provide end-of-life veterinary care
• Offer gentle euthanasia procedures with empathy, sensitivity and respect
• Provide emotional support and guidance to pet families - Honor the human-animal bond with every visit
• Ensure proper documentation and communication with support staff
• Guide families through a deeply emotional process with grace and reassurance
• Communicate clearly and kindly before, during, and after the appointment
• Represent our values with integrity in every interaction
