Gentle Pet Crossing seeks a compassionate in-home euthanasia veterinarian to travel to clients' homes and provide dignified end-of-life care. The role emphasizes empathy, clear communication, and autonomy in scheduling, with a focus on minimizing family distress during the process.

The candidate should be a licensed DVM with Florida credentials and a professional liability policy, capable of independent work and offering emotional support to grieving families.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent and Florida veterinary license required.
• Professional liability coverage.
• Excellent bedside manner and emotional intelligence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Comfort working independently in clients’ homes.
• Experience in palliative care, hospice, or euthanasia preferred (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Travel to clients’ homes to provide end-of-life veterinary care.
• Offer gentle euthanasia procedures with empathy, sensitivity and respect.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to pet families.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication with support staff.
• Guide families through a deeply emotional process with grace and reassurance.
• Communicate clearly and kindly before, during, and after the appointment.
• Represent our values with integrity in every interaction.
