Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare is hiring veterinarians to provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia services across Houston metropolitan area. You will work directly with families in their homes, delivering high-quality medical care with empathy and respect.

Ideal candidates are DVMs with mobility to travel, have a valid license, and can manage rotational weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile in-home setting.
• Weekend availability on a rotational basis.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted.
• Exude compassion, dignity and respect to all.
• Professional communication with team and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia veterinary care to pet families.
• Coordinate care and communicate with families with compassion.
• Maintain professional standards and safety in mobile visits.
• Travel to service areas across Houston and surrounding cities.
