Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarian to service pet families across Birmingham, Forestdale, Fairfield, Homewood & Center Point, Alabama. Enjoy no waiting rooms or corporate dashboards—just you, the family, and time to do it right.

We are privately owned, doctor-led, and offer no non-compete contracts. This role suits doctors who value meaningful conversations and flexible scheduling while remaining in medicine.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required.
• Driver's license (valid).
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
• Weekend availability (rotational).
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted.
• Demonstrated compassion, dignity and respect for all.
• Strong communication with team and families.

Responsibilities

• Serve pet families in their homes across the Birmingham area.
• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services with sensitivity.
• Maintain professional communication with families and team.
