Job summary

GreenSavers in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Home Performance Consultant to combine home assessments with consultative sales. You will meet homeowners, assess energy options, and guide improvements that reduce energy bills.

The role involves visiting residential sites, preparing accurate estimates, presenting proposals within three business days, and coordinating deposits or financing follow-up. Base pay plus commission; earnings depend on sales.

Qualifications

• Three years of sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in in-home consultative sales or familiarity with home energy efficiency would be helpful.
• Strong listening and communication skills required.
• Ability to manage appointments, reports, and paperwork; follow through on proposals.

Responsibilities

• Meet homeowners, understand priorities and budget, and complete energy consultations, audits, and estimates.
• Work with sales support to prepare accurate reports and proposals; deliver proposals within three business days.
• Explain scope, pricing, incentives, and financing; secure signed agreements and coordinate payments or financing follow-up.
• Keep customer records, project documentation, and your sales pipeline current.
• Hand off complete project details to production and respond to questions through installation and QA.
