Job summary

ChristianaCare HomeHealth is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide in-home occupational therapy in Townsend, Dover, and Frederica, Delaware. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to maximize independence and safety for patients in their homes.

Qualified candidates will hold a COTA, be licensed or eligible in Delaware, have a valid driving license, and be able to travel. BLS is required or obtainable on hire; prior HomeHealth experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current COTA certification; licensed or eligible for licensure in Delaware.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed OT.
• Assist patients in improving self-care, mobility, and home safety.
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Communicate with physicians, therapists, and the care team.
• Travel to Townsend, Dover, and Frederica to deliver home care.
