Job summary

Giving Home Health Care in Reno, NV is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide daily living and personal care in patients' homes per physician care plan.

The role is a 1099 independent contractor position with day shifts (Mondays and Wednesdays 8am–4pm) and a $1,000 bonus after 90 days. Candidates must have CPR and First Aid, TB test, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• TB test & physical examination.
• Ability to monitor vital signs.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Caring and compassionate personality.
• Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients.
• Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting.
• Assist with the patients’ activities of daily living as well as personal care.
• Provide companionship care and basic emotional or psychological support.
• Adhere to the patient’s established plan of care.
• Execute the physician prescribed plan of care and maintain compliant documentation of care provided in the system of record.
• Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) according to plan of care.
• Maintain records and documentation of daily services.
• Communication with the patients’ family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient.
