Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a part-time CNA for the Avon area. Wage starts at $18/hour; CNAs earn $20/hour. Eligible after 5 months for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy. Part-time and full-time options available based on your schedule.

As an in-home caregiver, you will help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes, with duties including ADLs, meal prep, companionship, and dementia care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal care including dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping in the home (bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, laundry).
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assist with mobility using transfer tools/equipment.
• Assist with medications.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift and cares.
