Job summary

Consumer Direct Care Network in Wisconsin is seeking a Respite Provider to support a bright, energetic child at home in Chippewa Falls. You will engage in crafts, reading, and active play, learning the child’s routine and building trust with the family.

You will gradually provide independent respite time for Mom, prioritizing safety, patience, and a calm, loving approach while encouraging the child’s growth and engagement.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required.

• Experience with children with unique needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with mom closely to learn the child's routine and regulation styles, developing into independent care.

Now Hiring: Respite Provider for Fun, Creative, and Active Child

We’re looking for an engaging, reliable, and compassionate Respite Provider to support a bright and energetic child who loves to learn, create, and explore! This position starts by working alongside Mom in the home to build a positive relationship and will progress to independent respite time, during which Mom can take breaks outside the home.

Location

Chippewa Falls - Care to take place within the child's home

Schedule

Flexible Schedule - to be confirmed with parent in advance

Preferred availability for weekends and late afternoons/evenings

Compensation

$14.13/Hr

Responsibilities

• Engage the child in fun, screen-free activities such as crafts, reading, homework help, and creative projects/activities.
• Be active and hands-on — think soccer, Pokémon GO adventures, rock collecting, tinkering, and imaginative play.
• Support the child’s independence and emotional regulation in a calm, structured way.
• Work with mom closely to learn child's routine and regulation styles, developing into independent care slowly giving mom valuable respite time

About the Child

• Loves spinning flags, soccer, tinkering, building things, Pokémon, Lucas the Spider, Bluey, and Spider-Man
• May need gentle support or redirection during transitions or when preferred activities end
• Can sometimes wander off when distracted, so awareness and safety attentiveness are vital
