Job summary

Positive Development seeks a Child Development Specialist for part-time, in-home and center-based work with autistic children. You will coach families, build communication and daily living skills, and track progress through session notes while collaborating with clinicians.

The role supports flexible schedules (3–5 days, evenings and weekends available) and offers paid training, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for growth in a compassionate, evidence-based program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 18+
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform floor-level tasks
• Strong communication skills with families and teammates

Responsibilities

• Build communication, social, and daily living skills through play and activities
• Create meaningful connections to engage children
• Follow a relationship-based intervention model to achieve outcomes
• Document session notes and progress toward goals
• Collaborate with clinicians to build clinical skills
