Job summary

Positive Development is seeking a part-time Child Development Specialist to work with autistic children in home-based settings. You’ll help build communication, social, and daily living skills through play-based, relationship-focused interactions.

Ideal candidates are education majors or students with strong communication and reliability, willing to train, with a valid driver’s license. Pay is $22–$28 per hour, plus per-session training and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Build communication, social, and daily living skills through play and conversation.
• Create meaningful connections to support child development.
• Follow a relationship-based intervention model to achieve strong outcomes.
• Document session notes and outcomes to track progress.
• Collaborate with clinicians and supervisors to develop clinical skills.
