Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking caring caregivers to provide hands-on support and companionship to clients in Akron, Ohio and surrounding areas. You’ll help with daily activities, personal care, and safe mobility, while building meaningful connections through one-on-one interactions.

We offer flexible scheduling and part-time opportunities, with options for additional hours when you want them. You’ll report changes in client needs to your supervisor and help maintain a safe home environment.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and dependable with a patient approach.
• Reliable and punctual, able to work independently.
• Experience in caregiving is a plus, but the right attitude matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal care.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping as needed.
• Medication reminders and safe mobility assistance.
• Report changes in client needs to supervisor.

As a caregiver, you'll provide the hands-on support and companionship that helps our clients remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship & emotional support
• Assisting w/ bathing & personal hygiene
• Assisting w/ dressing and grooming
• Toileting assistance
• Medication reminders
• Assisting w/ ambulation, walking, & safe mobility
• Assisting w/ positioning & transfers as appropriate
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping & laundry
• Running errands & assisting with shopping
• Helping maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
• Reporting changes in client needs to the appropriate supervisor

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle
• Current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a background check
