Job summary

Senior Helpers in Akron, OH is seeking caring caregivers for flexible part-time roles. You will provide compassionate in-home support, companionship, and assistance with daily activities to help clients stay safe and comfortable. Requirements: be 18+, high school diploma, valid driver's license and reliable vehicle; pass a background check.

Prior caregiving is a plus, but a caring heart matters most. We offer flexible scheduling, opportunities for extra hours, and meaningful one-on-one work

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal care as needed.
• Support with meal prep, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Monitor client safety and report changes to supervisor.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship & emotional support
• Assisting w/ bathing & personal hygiene
• Assisting w/ dressing and grooming
• Toileting assistance
• Medication reminders
• Assisting w/ ambulation, walking, & safe mobility
• Assisting w/ positioning & transfers as appropriate
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping & laundry
• Running errands & assisting with shopping
• Helping maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
• Reporting changes in client needs to the appropriate supervisor
