Job summary

Senior Helpers – South Tacoma is seeking compassionate caregivers who can reliably cover Sundays, providing one-on-one in-home support to help seniors live safely and independently at home. Flexible part-time or full-time roles with weekend differential and meaningful daily impact.

We encourage Washington State CNAs and HCAs to apply; certification and experience in home care are highly valued, with a focus on respectful, client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to work Sundays (consistent Sunday availability required).
• Current HCA or CNA certification preferred.
• At least one year of caregiving experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• At least two satisfactory references from previous employers.
• Reliable cell phone and comfort using caregiving apps for scheduling, care plans, clock-in/out, and documentation.
• Ability to write clear and accurate documentation in English.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Building meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship.
• Assisting with activities of daily living such as dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene.
• Supporting light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Engaging clients in hobbies and recreational activities.
• Observing and reporting changes in client condition.
• Accompanying clients to appointments, grocery shopping, and community outings.

Education

CNA or HCA certification preferred
