Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking caregivers to support students in day-to-day activities within school settings in California.

You will perform health care tasks, assist with personal care, and help coordinate services between home, school, local health resources, and the community. The role requires state licensure/certification as needed, current BLS, and ability to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification as required by state and/or program.
• One (1) year relevant experience preferred.
• Current BLS Card.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate services between home, school, local health agency, and other resources.
• Ability to elicit/provide information clearly and effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Demonstrates competence in performing skills and following the care plan.
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and related support.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• In school setting, accompanies student on bus to/from school (if applicable).
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA privacy.
