Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to deliver in-home care across Westside Cuyahoga County and surrounding communities. The role offers flexible scheduling, steady client assignments, and opportunities for career growth.

Shifts include full-time, part-time, PRN, weekday, weekend, and 12-hour options. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meals, errands, and companionship, while maintaining HIPAA and adhering to care plans. RN oversight ensures support on every case.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum one year of caregiving/home care experience preferred.
• HHA/STNA/CNA training preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client mobility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following client care plans.
• HIPAA compliance and confidentiality must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support.
• Prepare meals and provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities as needed.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team.
• Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols.
