Job summary

Comfort Keepers group is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team in Plymouth, MN and surrounding areas. You will provide essential in-home care, assisting with ADLs, mobility, companionship, and transportation to appointments.

Flexible part-time and weekend shifts are available, with competitive pay and mileage reimbursement. Responsibilities include following care plans, documenting tasks, administering medications as directed, and communicating with clients and families.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Experience as a caregiver for adults or nursing assistance training preferred; holds a valid driver's license.
• Able to pass background checks and TB screening.
• Willing to drive a personal vehicle for client transportation.
• Willing to provide personal care for both males and females.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Able to read, comprehend and speak English clearly.
• Own smartphone for sending texts and emails, using apps, and completing online training.
• Able to work in a home setting with minimal supervision.
• High standard of honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying living spaces.
• Drive clients to appointments or social outings.
• Implement behavior management techniques as needed.
• Use smartphone to view care plans and record tasks and to communicate.
