Job summary

Safe Harbor Home Care in San Diego seeks Personal Care Attendant-Caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care and companionship. Roles include assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, and daily activities to help clients remain at home.

Caregivers must meet CA Home Care Aide requirements, have an I-9 eligibility, TB clearance, and complete specified state forms and orientation before serving clients.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must possess I-9 documentation and be verified eligible for employment
• Current TB certificate and CA Home Care Aide registration with active HCA number
• Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508) and Personnel Record (LIC 501) submitted
• Complete SOC 341A and minimum 5 hours orientation before client contact

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care
• Bathing, shaving, ambulation
• Mouth care, dressing, exercising
• Hair care, feeding, toileting/incontinence care
• Nail care, positioning, medication reminders
• Skin care, transferring, meal planning and preparation
