Job summary

A First Name Basis (AFNB) is hiring a Caregiver in Charleston, SC to provide compassionate in-home support to seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role offers flexible scheduling and a $14/hr rate with overtime opportunities.

The caregiver will assist with personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation to appointments, while documenting care and following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks.
• Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting, etc.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation and assist with feeding as needed.
• Medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments.
• Monitor and report changes in client health and well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly client environment.
• Travel reliably to patient homes and assigned visits across the service area.
• Complete required in-service training upon hire and annually.
