Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. in Gary, IN is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one non-medical care to help seniors age in place in their own homes. You will form meaningful relationships while delivering support with daily living activities and companionship.

Caregivers assist with tasks such as meals, light housekeeping, transport to appointments, and social outings. Training and opportunities for advancement are available to motivated individuals who value empathy and

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
