Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking an In-Home Caregiver to support clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. You will assist with ADLs, provide companionship, and help with meals and medications.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, and reliability, with duties including light housekeeping and accompaniment to appointments. A compassionate, patient approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with elderly clients in a caregiving role is preferred.
• Experience assisting seniors with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
• Understanding of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other memory-related conditions is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changes.
• Accompany clients to appointments and outings.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior.
