Job summary

Village Caregiving - Minneapolis is looking for compassionate In-Home Caregivers to join the Miltona area team. You will assist with personal care, medication reminders, and light housekeeping in clients' homes, providing reliable, empathetic support.

We offer a flexible schedule, paid training, and 401k eligibility with a referral program. CPR certification is required (training provided if needed); prior caregiving experience is preferred and appreciated.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience.
• CPR (American Heart Association) certification within 30 days.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Respectful and compassionate bedside manner.
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
