Right at Home Southwestern Illinois seeks dedicated In-Home Caregivers to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and clear communication to help clients maintain independence.

Base pay is $17.00 per hour with weekend shift differentials and shorter shifts earning additional differential. Benefits include a flexible schedule, paid training, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills required.
• Preferred prior caregiving or healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of geriatrics and care environments is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; proof of car insurance in your name.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred; training opportunities available.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks and assist with mobility safely.
• Eligible to work as a caregiver per Illinois regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote well-being.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, meals, and living space upkeep.
• Monitor health status and report changes to family or healthcare professionals.
• Assist with medication reminders and safety protocols at home.
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with supervisors and family.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate In Home Caregivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals in their home environments. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing personalized assistance tailored to their unique needs.

Base Pay

Base Pay: $17.00 per hour; there are shift differentials for weekend shifts, and shifts under 4 hours in length.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
• Help with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean living space.
• Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
• Support medication reminders and ensure safety protocols are followed within the home environment.
• Assist with transportation for appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate effectively with supervisors and family members.

Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills.
• Prior experience working as a caregiver or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of geriatrics, medical-surgical care, outpatient clinics, and sub-acute care environments is highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for assisting with errands and appointments. You will be asked for proof of car insurance with your name on it! We will not accept vehicle or insurance proof under a parents or someone else's name, it must be your ownership!
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred; ongoing training opportunities are available.
