Right At Home Southwestern Illinois is hiring In-Home Caregivers to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help with light housekeeping while maintaining safety and dignity for clients.

The role offers competitive base pay of $17.00 per hour with weekend shift differentials and short shift bonuses. Benefits include 401(k), flexible schedule, paid time off, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills.
• Prior caregiving or healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of geriatrics, medical-surgical care, outpatient clinics, and sub-acute care desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; proof of car insurance in your name.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred; ongoing training opportunities available.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
• Eligible to work as a caregiver per Illinois Department of Health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
• Help with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, meal prep, and maintaining a clean living space.
• Monitor clients’ health status and report changes to family or healthcare professionals.
• Support medication reminders and ensure safety protocols in the home.
• Assist with transportation for appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate with supervisors and family.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate In Home Caregivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals in their home environments. Base Pay

Base Pay: $17.00 per hour; there are shift differentials for weekend shifts, and shifts under 4 hours in length.

Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills.
• Prior experience working as a caregiver or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of geriatrics, medical-surgical care, outpatient clinics, and sub-acute care environments is highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for assisting with errands and appointments. You will be asked for proof of car insurance with your name on it! We will not accept vehicle or insurance proof under a parents or someone else's name, it must be your ownership!
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred; ongoing training opportunities are available.
