Job summary

Family Resource Home Care in Hillsboro, OR is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in their homes. This role offers flexible scheduling and hands-on training, with opportunities to work in Forest Grove, Banks, Cornelius, and nearby areas.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation for appointments. Previous caregiving is helpful, but training is provided. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift 10–50 lb occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Must pass state and national background checks.
• Own a smartphone and ability to use a mobile app.
• Willing to transport clients in their vehicle and receive paid mileage.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Perform household tasks like cleaning, laundry, cooking and dishes.
• Provide companionship through daily activities and hobbies.
• Support clients with transportation to store or appointments.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisors.
• Follow care plans and maintain client safety and dignity.

Current needs:

• Monday through Friday 8a-6:30p Shift examples: 8 a - 4 pm, 9 a - 5 pm, 10 a - 6:30 pm.
• Weekend shifts available as well (day shifts only - 8 am - 6:30 pm)
• Clients/shifts available in Forest Grove, Banks and Cornelius, Aloha and Hillsboro as well as St Helens, Scappoose, Rainer, Vernonia, Clatskanie and Sauvie Island!
• Caregivers who are willing to provide hands on care to clients - dressing, bathing, grooming, etc.
• Caregivers willing and able to transport client in their vehicle to appointments or grocery shopping + we offer paid mileage

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Washington only – If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.
• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years+
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely.
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Ability to complete state-required caregiver/HCA training as needed
