Our Home Care Assistants are a vital part of our team, providing aid to our participants in their homes and contributing to the care planning process as part of our interdisciplinary team (IDT). We are committed to offering the best care and a positive work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and physical transfers.
• Assist with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), including laundry, light housekeeping, shopping, etc.
• Measure and document vital signs as instructed.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding to ensure participants are nourished and hydrated.
• Help with safe transfers and act as a medical escort to appointments.
• Assist with home exercise programs as indicated in the care plan, after training.
• Provide translation services if qualified.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS/First Aid certification.
• Reliable transportation.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Registration and clearance with the Department of Social Services Home Care Registry prior to start date.

Compensation

Hourly wage range: $21.00 - $25.22 + bonus and equity. Actual pay based on experience and qualifications.
