Job summary

Home Instead is hiring dependable, compassionate Caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care for older adults in Goodyear, Buckeye, and surrounding West Valley communities. You’ll help with companionship, personal care, meals, light housekeeping, and mobility support.

We welcome both experienced caregivers and those with a heart for helping others. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, along with the ability to pass background checks and read care plans.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older is required
• 1+ year of professional caregiving experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Comfort with providing hands-on personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Ability to read and follow care plans and communicate professionally

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• 1+ year of professional caregiving experience preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle and reliable transportation
• Current auto insurance
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Able to assist with mobility and transfers as needed
• Able to work independently in a client's home
• Able to read, understand, and consistently follow a client's care plan
• Strong and professional communication skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Able to consistently work at least 12 hours per week
• Willing and able to travel to clients throughout our West Valley service area

Experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia is highly valued.

Reliability Is Essential In This Role

Our clients and their families depend on consistent care. We' re looking for Caregivers who show up on time, communicate proactively, follow their care plan, and take their scheduled commitments seriously.

This position may not be the right fit if you are looking for temporary work, do not have reliable transportation, are uncomfortable providing personal care, or cannot consistently commit to your agreed-upon schedule.
