Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical support to adults and seniors in their homes or residential settings. You will follow each client's plan of care and MaineTouch guidelines while working independently with ongoing supervision.

No experience is required—training and support are provided. This role offers full-time or part-time options with flexible shifts, including day, evening, weekend, and overnight where applicable, plus opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, or willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required - training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent).

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers with or without mobility aids.
• Help with light household tasks related to care (laundry, dishes, linens).
• Assist with meal prep, serving, shopping, and errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and support daily routines.
• Observe and report changes to supervisor.
• Follow client service plan and complete documentation on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA and MaineTouch policies.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents immediately.
• Treat all clients with dignity and respect.
• Maintain dependable attendance and follow assigned schedules.
