Job summary

Visiting Angels of Edmond is hiring In Home Patient Care Assistants (PCA) to support clients across the Oklahoma City Metro area, including Edmond. Enjoy flexible schedules, competitive wages, and opportunities for growth while making a meaningful difference in clients' lives.

As a PCA, you will assist with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, mobility, and companionship per care plans. We offer advanced training in dementia/Alzheimer's care for skill expansion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• First Aid and emergency response training required (provided if needed).
• Reliable transportation to client homes and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to safety standards.
• Willingness to comply with state and office health and safety standards (background check).
• Compassion, understanding and desire to brighten each client’s day.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide companionship and supportive care.
• Respond quickly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.
