Job summary

Nex-Tech Classifieds in Kansas is seeking a dedicated individual to support people with developmental disabilities in their home and community. You will follow life plans, document progress, and promote dignity and choice.

Responsibilities include teaching daily living skills, providing ADL support, transportation assistance, crisis intervention as needed, and maintaining HIPAA confidentiality while collaborating with the life plan team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior personal or job related exposure to people with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach skills and provide support in home and community as defined by Life Plan Team.
• Follow Teaching Plans, Behavior Management Plans and Service Agreement and record data as required.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including meal times and transportation.
• Attend training and meetings as requested by supervisor.
• Maintain health, safety, licensing and abuse/neglect/exploitation ANE reporting per policy.
• Promote community inclusion and act as an advocacy representative for individuals served.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner and ensure confidentiality of PHI/ePHI.
• May administer medications and complete treatments as delegated by agency nurse.
• Wear the Life Plan and apply approved behavior management techniques as directed.
