Job summary

Nemasket Group is seeking a patient, energetic support professional to help individuals with developmental disabilities live more independently and improve quality of life. You will provide direct support, teach life skills, and promote positive behaviors within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, behavior management, social integration, and safe transportation to appointments and activities.

Qualifications

Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
Previous experience in home & community care or caregiving is beneficial.
Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and families.
Ability to manage behavior effectively while promoting a positive environment.
A valid driver’s license is required for transportation duties.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized support to clients in developing daily living skills and achieving personal goals.
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors.
Facilitate social interactions and community involvement to enhance social skills and independence.
Utilize effective communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and team members.
Drive clients to appointments or community activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation.
