Job summary

Life Care Services operates a community offering in-home care assistance in California. The In-Home Care Aide provides direct care and support within clients' homes, assisting with daily activities and ensuring well-being in a compassionate, professional manner.

The role requires an English-proficient caregiver able to work independently, delivering high-quality service and supporting residents with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Provide high level of customer and personal service with care.

Responsibilities

• Assist client in activities of daily living including transfers, ambulation, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, and activities as appropriate.
• Change bed linens, wash and iron resident laundry, and light housekeeping duties.
• Entertain, converse with, or read aloud to clients to assist in keeping them mentally healthy and alert.
• Perform a variety of duties as requested by the client, such as obtaining household supplies and running errands in a prompt manner.
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals to clients as needed.
• Provide companionship to Doctor’s appointments and other engagements as needed.
• Promptly reports client changes and any unusual occurrences to the supervisor.
• Accurately documents required data in a timely manner using appropriate forms.
• Follows established performance standards and performs duties according to facility policies and procedures.
• Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates appropriate action immediately, while maintaining the client’s safety.

Job Summary
