Tutor Me Education is seeking a Cardiovascular Sonography tutor to work one-on-one with a dedicated adult student in Peoria, AZ. The role focuses on translating complex clinical concepts, mastering ultrasound techniques, and building hands-on dexterity for machine operation, while accommodating a neurodiverse learner.

The schedule is evenings and weekends, totaling about 20 hours, with pay ranging from $25 to $35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in Cardiovascular Sonographer/Technologist test prep.
• Strong clinical background in adult cardiac/vascular ultrasound.
• Ability to explain medical terminology to non-medical learners.
• Experience teaching neurodiverse students (Autism, SLD, Anxiety).
• Willing to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 instruction and test prep for Cardiovascular Sonography curriculum.
• Target instruction on medical terminology, anatomy, ultrasound techniques, and machine operation.
• Coach spatial awareness and hand dexterity for probe/ultrasound equipment.
• Adapt teaching for neurodiverse learning needs.
• Use structured, encouraging methods to boost confidence and retention.
• Collaborate with the family to ensure aligned goals and progress.
• Monitor progress and adjust test-prep strategies for exams/practicum.
