Job summary

Upstate Caring Partners in Central New York seeks a Family Support Services Behavior Specialist Assistant – In-Home Behavior to evaluate behavioral issues referred from the community, help develop and implement behavior plans with families, and consult with a BCBA.

You will complete required documentation, provide data for review, and assist with training curricula and presentations for the Education and Training portion of the contract. A valid NYS driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field.
• 12 months of experience with persons with disabilities.
• Must have NYS Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate behavioral issues of referred people with family and BCBA; initial observation.
• Develop and provide initial implementation of behavior plans.
• Provide training to the family on implementation of the behavior plan/strategies.
• Complete required documentation.
• Furnish data for the BCBA to review and provide input on.
• Develop training curriculum/presentations on current topics in the field.
• Present training curriculums to the public for Education and Training under the FSS contract.
• Adhere to mandatory reporting requirements and HIPAA laws.
• Ensure compliance with government and Agency regulations and operating standards.
