What’s Upstate seeks a Family Support Services Behavior Specialist Assistant - In-Home Behavior to evaluate behavioral issues, assist with development and implementation of behavior plans, and train families. This includes data collection, documentation, and coordination with the BCBA, ensuring HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field (behavior science, social work, child life education, nursing or human development).
• 12 months paid or unpaid experience in a program or setting supporting persons with disabilities.
• Must have a valid NYS Driver's License.
• Candidates who have completed all but 15 credit hours of the BA degree requirements must show proof of credit completion and complete graduation requirements within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate behavioral issues of referred people in In-Home Behavior services with family and BCBA.
• Develop and provide initial implementation of behavior plans.
• Provide training to the family on behavior plan/strategies.
• Complete required documentation.
• Furnish data for BCBA review and input.
