Job summary

Top Score Education, Inc. is seeking a part-time AP Physics Tutor to deliver 90-minute in-home sessions after school and on weekends in Washington DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia.

You will customize lessons for AP Physics 1–C, communicate with families, and work with our educator network to support student achievement. Ideal candidates have proven AP Physics tutoring experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching or tutoring all AP Physics courses (AP Physics 1, 2, C Mechanics, C E&M).
• Current or former high school teachers or graduate students pursuing a Master’s/Ph.D. in a STEM field preferred.
• Experience tutoring additional STEM subjects (Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, AP Biology) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or certifications in education/STEM preferred.
• Passionate about building positive, supportive relationships with students and families.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented with strong time management and process adherence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 90-minute private, in-home tutoring sessions for AP Physics courses.
• Create customized lesson plans addressing individual student needs and goals.
• Maintain consistent communication with parents and students to build trust.
• Collaborate with Top Score team to track student progress and refine tutoring strategies.
• Provide guidance to build student confidence and success on AP Physics exams.
