Top Score Education Inc. in the DC metro area is seeking a part-time AP Physics Tutor to deliver 1-on-1 in-home tutoring in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia. Sessions run after school and on weekends, with flexible hours to fit your schedule.

Ideal candidates have experience teaching all four AP Physics courses, a Bachelor’s degree, and are current teachers or graduate students in STEM. Compensation includes $50-$75 per hour and a travel bonus, with opportunities for growth within

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or certifications in education/STEM fields preferred.
• Proven experience teaching or tutoring all four AP Physics courses (AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism).
• Current or former high school teachers or graduate students pursuing a Master’s/Ph.D. in a STEM field are strongly preferred.
• Additional tutoring of STEM subjects (e.g., Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, AP Biology) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 90-minute private, in-home tutoring sessions for AP Physics 1, 2, and C courses.
• Create customized lesson plans to address individual student needs and goals.
• Maintain consistent communication with parents and students to build trust.
• Collaborate with Top Score team to track progress and refine tutoring strategies.
• Provide academic guidance to build student confidence and success on AP Physics exams.
